This week is a short one (as is next week) because of Easter so remember that there is no school on Friday (as if anyone could forget.....:) It is also the start of our Track and Field rotations and since the weather does not look like it's cooperating.....I hope that everyone is bringing warm clothes to wear in the afternoon. We only have 6 rotation days scheduled before our Track Meet which takes place on May 11th so we really need every practice in order for the kids to have a chance to improve their skills.
We are finally starting our new novel this week in Language Arts. It has a lot of chapters in it but some of them are very short so we will make it work where we are done by the end of June (hopefully before that). Math we are leaving 'angles' and moving on to motion geometry. For Science we are still working on Diversity of Life. Last week we learned about the parts of a microscope and next week we will start to look at life under the microscope (bring on the mealworms!). In SS the kids are still working on their Japan projects although I hear they are wrapping them up pretty quickly. For HACE we have been learning about very basic first aid, mainly concentrating on what to do in the face of an emergency.....
