We have begun our units in every subject and are really starting to get on a roll now. The novel that we are looking at is 'Sammy Keyes and the Skeleton Man'. It's a murder mystery and the kids and I have really been enjoying it. We've made it through the first few chapters and the story is really taking off. In math we have been looking at patterning with tables. Something we'll try to wrap up this week before we move on to the next concept. In HACE we have just finished presentations on our Parkcrest behaviour matrix. The kids were really creative and they all did a great job. Now we're moving on to goal setting. In case your child hasn't told you yet.....we've been doing 'dance' in gym. We are learning the 'Thriller' dance (yep...the Michael Jackson version) and we have a guest presenter coming in to give us salsa lessons. Never a dull moment! Let's take a look at this week.
